This week has been filled with lots of great learning.

We began our shared portal story writing. I have been really impressed with just how far the children have come on in their writing. We are now able to use different sentence structures as well as using an array of fronted adverbials. 

In Maths, we continued our fractions topic. The children have shown excellent resilience in the topic. Initially, we found it quite difficult but we are now much more confident in finding mixed numbers, improper fractions as well as equivalent fractions.  

During Science, we have been working on classifying living organisms using dichotomous keys. We started by classifying liquorice all sorts using yes and no questions. We then used this knowledge to create dichotomous keys about animals that we might see in our local environment. 

Our TTrockstar of the week is Amelia and our Lexia legend is Phoebe. Book club this week was hosted by Aydin. He chose a football annual and spoke about all the interesting facts he had learnt while reading it.
